I. Introduction

The name Cancer has been haunting the mind of many people in the human society. 

Cancer aims to take away the life of a precious human being.

Cancer usually arrives without notice, and when it truly manifests, it is usually too late to battle it.

Cancer appears to be Vicious and Evil.

Modern Life Scientists, the heroes and heroines in the eyes of the general public, are in fact feeling powerless in front of this demon.

Technology apparently is not the solution.

Why?

Due to her statements made in this article on the practice of Falun Gong, an ancient cultivation practice of Mind-body-spirit, which apparently exhibits the magic power of total eradication of Cancer, to those who genuinely practice Falun Dafa, upon the publication of her article translated into Chinese, on an international newspaper called Dajiyuan (The Epoch Times), she was immediately targeted for persecution, by the Chinese Communist Party. 

A search for a cure of Cancer as a Human Disease is now leading to a Journey to Seeking Truth to eradicate the Malignant Cancer of Human Society.

Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in America Made Possible Through Hate Propaganda

A case report of the persecution of an American Citizen Scientist

Falun Dafa is an ancient cultivation practice, first introduced to the Chinese public in 1999, by Mr. Li Hongzhi. The term “Cultivation” may not be very familiar to the public in the West, but is a very familiar concept engraved into the culture of the East. It refers to the process of working on the nature of one’s soul, mind and body to achieve true enlightenment. In the traditional Chinese culture, the best-known cultivation methods belong to two schools, the Buddha School, which cultivates Compassion, and the Dao School, which cultivates Truthfulness. Falun Dafa is a very high-level cultivation way belongs to the Buddha school. Practitioners are guided by the fundamental nature of the Universe, Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, to cultivate both the mind and the body. Falun Dafa has been offered to all people free of charge (http://www.falundafa.org/). At present, there are practitioners all over the world, from all walks of life, with all age groups and ethnicities. The profound health benefits of this practice have attracted more and more people to do this practice, although Falun Dafa is not aimed for healing and fitness.

However, since China is a nation ruled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), whose power over the Chinese people has been maintained through systematically destroying the Chinese traditional culture and moral principals, through nation-wide controlled media that serves to brainwash Chinese people with the CCP Party Culture, through depriving Chinese People from private ownership using deception, killing and robbing, and through controlling Chinese people’s mind with hate propaganda and lies. Since Falun Dafa is deeply rooted in the Chinese traditional culture, the innate goodness in Chinese People heart was awakened and nurtured by the practice, and therefore, in a short period of seven years, around 100 million Chinese people practice Falun Dafa by 1999. The former head of the CCP, Jiang Zemin, out of his personal jealousy, decided that this practice threatens the leadership of CCP, and decided to eradicate the practice within three months. However, he failed to do so, and because of this, he initiated nation-wide hate propaganda against Falun Dafa, and also officially outlawed the practice on July 20, 1999. To justify the CCP’s brutality against this practice in the international community, Jiang started to use Chinese Consulates all over the world to spread hate propaganda against Falun Dafa. In the past seven years, Falun Dafa practitioners inside of China have been suffering from the most evil and inhumane persecution. The practitioners and their families and friends are targeted for persecution. They are forced to denounce the practice. Anyone who refuses to denounce the practice is facing the loss of job, taken to detention centers, labor camps, prisons, where they are subjected to brainwashing and the most brutal torture methods, which have been broadly applied towards the practitioners and have taken away their lives. Many families have been broken; many family members have been forced to coerce the persecution; many children have been forced out of school just because of their parents are practitioners. Of course, many children have become orphans, because their parents were tortured to death. In the past eight years, Falun Dafa practitioners inside and outside of China have been risking their lives to inform people in the world what is the truth about Falun Dafa in a hope to stop the persecution. Although more and more people in the international community are now informed with the facts of the brutal persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China, still very little is done to stop the persecution through international pressures. Furthermore, the persecution in fact has been spread into outside of China. In America, the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners are manifested through the constant interference of the truth-clarification work of oversea Falun Dafa practitioners, by the CCP-bought Oversea Chinese media, CCP Consulates, and the various American medias, Organizations, or Cooperation, who are poisoned by the hate propaganda and therefore joined in the persecution. As a scholar from China and now become an American Citizen, I, as a Falun Dafa practitioner, have been suffering from such forms of persecution in the past seven years. The persecution was vicious and aimed to destroy my name, my body and my spirit. Sadly, my own family members were poisoned by the hate propaganda and have actively participated in the persecution, under the name of “forcing me to continue to do Science”.

I came to America in 1988 and obtained my Ph.D. in the field of Molecular Biology and Cell Biology. In 1992, after I obtained my Ph.D., I started my postdoctoral training in Harvard Medical School. Soon I became a rising star in my research field and became a faculty member at Harvard. In 1999, I took a new position in an Immunology Research Institute in Seattle Washington in order to be able to carry out my own independent research projects. Due to the struggles in an extremely competitive field, I became ill and conventional medications failed to help me. So in the Spring of 2000, following the introduction by a close friend from Boston, I started to practice Falun Dafa. The practice brought me health and purified my soul. I was amazed by the health benefits of the practice and developed a strong interest in studying such a phenomenon.

However, soon I found myself a target of the CCP. Shortly after the Dajiyuan Newspaper published my speech at Harvard Unviersity (http://www.pureinsight.org/node/195; http://www.dajiyuan.com/gb/2/12/10/c9630.htmI), I was informed that I was already blacklisted in China and my research collaboration opportunities and teaching opportunities in China were both cut off by the Chinese Government, immediately. My parents were subjected to threats and deceptions by the local Chinese government. My husband, then, was subjected to brainwash by the hate propaganda spread from the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco,by the Consul General, Peng Keyu, and soon was ready to divorce me in order to “protect” my son, Noah. In 2003, my research position at the Benaroya Research Institute was terminated under the pressure from Gary Locke, who was the former Governor of State of Washington. He sent a representative to the BRI to pressure the Director of BRI, Dr. Jerry Nepom. In 2005, my own elder brother, Jianxin Bao, was instructed by my parents, Yueqin Bao and Yufeng Wang, to take control of all of my financial resource through labeling me to be “suffering from severe manic depression”, using a fake medical diagnosis presented to the Seattle Civil Court, by Amelia-Gallitano Mendel, and put me under the “Guardianship” of my brother, Jianxin Bao. Under the “Guardianship”, Jianxin Bao cleaned up my bank account, confiscated all of my personal properties, Falun Dafa books, Master Li’s photo, my computer and printer. My house was sold at the lowest price. Jianxin Bao first tried to force me to go back to China. Upon hearing that I was about to have a new family in New York, he tried everything he could to disrupt the new family. Later, when he saw the plan of forcing me to go back to China became impossible, he dispersed all of my personal properties. I was put into a situation of homeless. In 2007, BRI tossed out all of my research products generated from about fifteen years of hard work, which consumed the public hundreds of millions of dollars.

Besides the persecution through my own deceived family members, I also suffered from the persecution from deceived oversea Chinese public. In 2004, in New York China Town, I was arrested by police after the police was misinformed by some Chinese people there who resented Falun Dafa practitioners due to their believing in the hate propaganda from the CCP. I was simply standing in front of a Chinese medicine store on the sidewalk of a street, watching peaceful parade of Falun Dafa practitioners at the time of my arrest. Later, I was again arrested in midtown Manhattan, where practitioners were holding an anti-torture exhibit to educate the public about what is happening in China. This was due to the owner of the store where our booth was located in front of was deceived by the hate propaganda and then misinformed the police. In 2007, my community work in Flushing was harassed and later forced into a stop by the pro-communist managers of the Flushing Mall. After many efforts of setting up a community center in the Flushing Mall, I just started my work to serve the public when the managers of the Mall used all efforts to make my staying there impossible, after they learned that I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. Recently (in May 2008), in front of the Flushing Library, my two-year old daughter Lotus and I were attacked by many deceived Chinese people, who were driven by hate stirred up by hate propaganda spread directly from Zhou Yongkang, one of the top leaders in persecuting Falun Dafa in China. These Chinese people who did not even know me, started to curse me and even attempted to beat me, simply because I was wearing a button saying, “Falun Dafa is good”.

In a summary, as a successfully scientist in the frontier research field of life science, simply because I made the choice to embark on a spiritual practice of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance, my family was broken, my son taken away, my personal properties confiscated, my financial resource locked away and wasted, my job terminated and my research career destroyed. Jiang Zemin, the evil leader that initiated the persecution of Falun Dafa, made such an order to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners in China: “Damage their reputation, make them financially bankrupt and destroy them physically”. Although I am already an American Citizen, such an evil persecution has been extended to America through hate propaganda and aimed to total destroy me. Here I call upon all kind-hearted American general public to learn the truth of Falun Dafa and the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party, and thereby gaining true immunity against the infiltration of Chinese Communist Party into America.
